Plain Pulled Halva 250 g
Plain pulled halva is a staple dessert in traditional Turkish cuisine. This type of halva is known for its dense, fibrous texture, light flavor, and melt-in-your-mouth texture. Its basic ingredients are flour, butter, water, and sugar, and it's prepared plain—that is, without any added sweeteners or additives like peanuts.
Making halva requires mastery. First, the sugar-water mixture is boiled until it reaches a specific consistency, allowing the sugar to crystallize. Then, the flour and butter mixture is slowly roasted until caramelized. Once roasted, the sugar mixture is added to the flour and, with constant stirring, brought to the desired consistency. Once cooled and hardened, the halva is separated by hand into strands to achieve the desired consistency.
