Roasted Ethiopian Coffee: A Bold and Noble Experience
This special series from Ethiopia’s Sidamo region—the birthplace of coffee—is roasted by Can Kardeşler at a Dark (Full French) level. Carefully packaged in whole-bean form, Roasted Ethiopian Coffee is crafted for true coffee enthusiasts who prefer to grind their coffee fresh and seek a much bolder, more intense flavor in the cup.
Why Roasted Ethiopian Coffee?
Distinct both in form and roast level, Roasted Ethiopian Coffee offers the following advantages:
Fresh Grinding Privilege
Because the product is offered as whole beans, its aroma and oils are sealed within. The intense scent of spices and chocolate released the moment you grind it at home is one of the most enjoyable parts of the Roasted Ethiopian Coffee experience.
Dark Roast (Full French)
The beans are roasted for a longer time at high temperatures, significantly reducing acidity. In its place emerges a full-bodied structure dominated by bitter chocolate, tobacco, and smoky notes.
A Characterful Flavor
Unlike soft, fruity coffees, this series leaves a powerful and lasting impression on the palate. Ideal for those who say, “I want to really feel my coffee.”
Benefits of Roasted Ethiopian Coffee
Low Acidity, Gentle on the Stomach
Dark roasting minimizes the acid content of Roasted Ethiopian Coffee. This provides a much smoother drinking experience for those who dislike sourness or experience stomach discomfort from acidic coffees.
The Grinding Ritual as Therapy
Grinding coffee beans just before brewing not only enhances flavor but also becomes a relaxing ritual, with the aroma filling the room and soothing the mind.
Intense Energy and Focus
Its strong body and distinctive character help you wake up quickly in the morning. Bitter chocolate notes can also help suppress sweet cravings, supporting dietary balance.
Sidamo’s Natural Heritage: Ethiopian Filter Coffee
Hand-harvested and washed-process Sidamo beans carry the earthy aroma of the region’s volcanic soil. Combined with a Full French roast, this profile delivers a powerful Roasted Ethiopian Coffee that retains its aroma even in milk-based drinks such as lattes and cappuccinos.
Can Kardeşler Freshness Principle
Because dark-roasted beans are prone to surface oils, freshness is critical. Our 200 g resealable packages limit air exposure, preserving the original intensity and unique aroma of the coffee from the first cup to the last.
How to Prepare Ethiopian Coffee Beans with a French Press
-
For 300 ml of water, 15 grams of (ground) Roasted Ethiopian Coffee is sufficient; for a stronger cup, increase to 18 grams.
-
After boiling, let the water rest for about 30 seconds before adding it to the French press. (Using water at 100°C may burn the coffee and cause bitterness; 92–93°C is ideal.)
-
Before placing the lid on, gently stir with a wooden spoon to allow the aromas to infuse into the water.
-
Close the lid and let it brew for 3–4 minutes. Do not press the plunger during this time.
-
Once brewing is complete, slowly press the plunger down and serve immediately.
